"The majority of my sculpture deals with fantasy and the escapism of toy play. Self Portrait combines my love for building (note the oversized hammer and nail) and my love for the escapism I enjoyed as a child through playing with toys. I try to make things that I would have loved to play with as a child, in the hopes that someone else might enjoy them the same way."
