Cary Visual Art’s 12th Annual Art Ball Will Showcase Art in the Community, November 8, 2008

CARY, NC. Cary Visual Art will pay tribute to local artists and galleries at its Twelfth Annual Art Ball on November 8. Cary’s premiere annual black-tie event, presented by WakeMed Cary Hospital will take place at the acclaimed Umstead Hotel and Spa. Business leaders, professionals, and other community members will enjoy an evening of refined elegance with dining followed by dancing to music by the popular group The Fabulous Shades.

The highlight of the evening promises to be a raffle of high quality works by well-known local artists. The paintings and sculptures will be exhibited in the months prior to the Art Ball, and raffle tickets will be available for purchase prior to the event as well. Proceeds from the raffle, and from the Art Ball, will go towards supporting art and art awareness in the Cary community, through art placements, outreach programs, lectures, artist residencies, scholarships, and other programs.
