2009 CVA Scholarship Recipient: Brigitta Dewell

CARY, NC. Cary Visual Art, Inc. (CVA) is pleased to announce that Brigitta Dewell, a graduating senior from Cary High School, has been selected to receive this year's CVA Scholarship. The Scholarship Selection Committee chair, Alice Lancaster, noted the committee was impressed with the "variety of Miss Dewell's artistic pieces, her careful documentation of each piece, her superb texturing, and her active involvement in the visual arts in the community."

Miss Dewell plans to attend North Carolina State University College of Design in the Fall. She has been the recipient of multiple art awards, including the Judge's Special Merit Award for the 2008 13th District Congressional Art Competition, and has displayed in numerous places around Cary representing Cary High School, as well as at the Visual Art Exchange in downtown Raleigh.
